What is the new coronavirus?

The "New Coronavirus" refers to a new viral pneumonia that occurred in Wuhan, Hubei Province of China from December 2019.

Chinese authorities identified the new coronavirus, which has resulted in hundreds of confirmed cases in China, including cases outside Wuhan, with additional cases being identified in a growing number of countries internationally. The first case in the United States was announced on January 21, 2020. There are ongoing investigations to learn more. (CDC)

As of this announcement (January 23, 2020), 32 cases have been confirmed in Guangdong Province and 5 cases have been confirmed in Henan Province. ONWEAR's production departments are located in Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province and Nanyang City, Henan Province. Both provinces have epidemic reports with confimed patients.

All workers and staffs of ONWEAR's Guangzhou facility left for Chinese New Year break before January 6, 2020, and all employees of Nanyang production facilitiy left the facility before January 20, 2020. ONWEAR has not received notice from employees of confirmed or suspected coronavirus cases, but ONWEAR will continue to pay attention to employees' epidemic reports and continue to evaluate the health status of our employees. According to local governments, the current epidemic situation has not affected the schedule of the production after the holiday yet. ONWEAR will conduct health checks on all employees who return to work after the holiday and pay special focus on employees returning from epidemic areas.
